“I wanted the chair to feel like it was growing back into nature — reclaiming itself through wood and fibre.”
About the Artist
Luca Longhi is an Italian artist based in London. He holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art: Painting from Wimbledon College of Art and an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art. His work explores memory, architecture, and the passage of time through painting. Influenced by Nouveau Réalisme and Arte Povera, Longhi employs unconventional materials like tiles and wood with oil paint, challenging traditional techniques and approaches. Recent exhibitions include Formes at galeriepcp, Paris (2024), Fast Friends, Oceans Apart in Manchester (2023), and Porous Cities at Feria, Marseille (2023).His solo show Thermopolium was held at Claas Reiss Gallery, London (2021)
