About the Artist:
Ceramist Alma Berrow is recognised for transforming overlooked, disposable materials - such as cigarette butts, fruit peels, and food remnants - into finely detailed sculptural works. With a background as a trained pastry chef, she brings a high level of technical skill, patience, and precision to her ceramic practice, applying processes associated with food preparation to the making of art. This crossover lends her work a distinctive tactility and an attention to surface, texture, and scale. She has exhibited widely at galleries and fairs throughout the United Kingdom, the United States, and Mexico, and has taken part in international artist residencies, including Inclusartiz in Rio de Janeiro.
